Cincinnati Nighttime Cityscape

We finally made up our minds to just do it. Take our two cameras, a tripod, and head up to Cincinnati's Devou park in the middle of the night to get a decent Cincinnati night-time cityscape! I thought it would be as easy as mounting the camera and letting the shutter drag a little to capture the light trails of cars shooting down I-75. But it turned out that shooting several (about 20) photos and laying them over each other as a multiple exposure was the trick. The results were impressive! It was, however, quite windy, so we had to watch out to make sure the camera wasn't moving around, because a deviation of even so much as a fraction of an inch would ruin the whole photo.

We the Hoosiers Event

A nice quiet Thursday evening in the middle of February? Not so much when you gather 50 or so Hoosiers to discuss American history and debate legislation! Young and old alike gathered at the Lawrenceburg Public Library February 10th to attend a local Tea Party meeting, where "Drive by History," a short edutainment video series about the founding fathers of our great nation, the Pilgrims, was viewed. Following afterwards was some serious debate about Saudi Arabian boycotts, purchasing gas from countries who avow America's economic destruction, awareness of upcoming bills, future campaign opportunies, and changes in campaign fundraising.
The girls took a little trip down to Cincinnati's bridal district, Micah and I took a little adventure of our own. What do I do when I haven't been shooting in a while? I pick a color and start shooting.
